1882

Large quantities of the 1882-S Morgan Silver Dollar exist in Mint State and are easily available. Many coins are heavily bagmarked and fit into the categories from MS-60 to MS-62. Striking ranges from sharp to somewhat weak, with most having above average strikes. Luster is typically deep, frosty and very attractive, similar to the 1881-S. No proofs were produced, as this was a branch mint.
